A UNESCO world heritage site...and international symbol of the French Renaissance. This Château can only be described as extraordinary with its exceptional architecture! Did I mention it has been sunny for two days in a row....
Probably the most famous concentric spiral staircase as inspired by Leonardo da Vinci who came to France in1516 at the request of Francis I. This King initiated this enormous undertaking when he was merely 25! and lived here only 72 days of his 32 reigning years!
Imagine ....all this vision and no WIFI! along with 77 staircases, 282 fireplaces and 426 rooms.
Now this is a roof!
Then a mere 5440 hectares ( the same size as inner Paris ) making it the largest enclosed forest park in Europe. DId not see any wild boar!
