Joined a friend and we walked from Republique to the end of the Canal.......it is a long walk but superb day!
This photo taken opposite of the Hôtel du Nord on the right is probably the most recognized. The Hôtel built in 1938 was featured in a French film which gives it the French "reverence".
This area in the summer would be perfect for the residents...lots of "bobos" live here ..we call them the "upwardly mobile" and visually it was hard to find a reason to return.
