For the first time in Bayeux, the Museum of the Battle of Normandie presented John G. Morris's record of daily life during the liberation. Morris was the picture editor for Life magazine in 1944 and landed in France seven weeks after after D-Day, and the Battle of Normandy was being fought. Morris and Roberta Capa recorded images; Morris who did not think of himself as a photographer did not record battle scenes.
