LOVED BAYEUX....

Have an invitation to return and stay in a restored castle....love the French! Veronique is a Parisian as we chattered away in French and English on everything from the refugee crisis to the French president.

Timbers in this house date to the 14th century making it the oldest house in Bayeux

Tea in this perfect place with patisserie was 6 euros and heavenly...I am walking ...but not enough. Bayeux is home to Calvados, Cider and Caramels....Can hardly wait to return!

  1. This chocolaterie or patisserie is fabulous! What did you purchase here?
Your shots of Bayeux certainly brought back memories for me though it teemed rain while we were there. The tapestry is nothing less than epic in its story and as a testimony to the devoted labours of its embroiderers.

The salon de thé - A La Reine Mathilde ....nothing else like it in Bayeux!
